    Soundtrack to the week...

Today we're enjoying the cool after a hot and steamy Sydney weekend. We're wearing one of our super fine organic cotton Portofino T-shirts with a pair of Palm print silk trousers while mostly listening to the dulcet tones of Terry Callier, which is sitting so well with the laid-back summer vibe we're feeling at the moment we're making his classic 1972 album, What Colour is Love, our soundtrack to the week. Enjoy.

    Culturally saturated

Festival season is upon us. Saturday we popped down to the Surry Hills Festival for a quick Pimms and a dance in the sunshine. Next weekend we hear it's Newtown's turn to pump up the volume, and for the foodies among you this week is your last chance to taste the goodness of the Crave International Food Festival. Oh, and there's the Architecture Festival too, with its tours and free consultations from an architect on your own home. Even our Sunday morning stroll along the clifftops from Bondi to Bronte has gone all cultural with the arrival of Sculpture by the Sea. Our favourite pieces from this year's artists are pictured above. The Tluxe insider's tip? Get there early to avoid the crowds, breathe some of that fresh salt air, and finish up with breakfast in Bronte. Just another reason to love Sydney in the sunshine. Happy Monday!

    The soundtrack to your week...

Balmy spring evenings, strolling home with the doors to people's homes open, the scent of barbeques in the air, and the sound of music escaping onto the tree-lined streets. Ahh, it's been a magic long weekend here in Sydney hasn't it? As we prepare for the week ahead we're watching the sun set, that incredible full moon rise, and listening to the sounds of The Cinematic Orchestra. Have a lovely evening friends, and a fantastic week ahead. Much love, Tluxe.

A few of our favourite things...

As the days grow cooler we're swapping beach time for a little culture. Right now you will mostly find us:

Listening to: The new Jack White album. Out last week and already album of the week in the Tluxe studio.

Looking at: The Daily Nice. Pictures that make you smile care of photographer Jason Evans.

Visiting: The new and improved Museum of Contemporary Art on a Thursday night. It’s free. It’s inspiring. You can eat dinner upstairs with a view of Sydney harbour. What’s not to love?

Reading: The School of Life’s books for modern living. They’re not out until next week but we’ve got them on pre-order. With titles like How to Change the World, How to Thrive in the Digital Age, and most importantly, How to Stay Sane, we’ll want the whole series. And the cover artwork isn't bad either.
