The 'one-size fits most' top and dress

L'Hotel top                    Long chain earrings            Grand dress

One of the most inspiring things about working with Tluxe is the diversity of our customers. Whether you’re 60 or 20 you all have one thing in common, an inherent sense of your own style. With this in mind, each season we work on creating a dress and top, which look fantastic no matter what your size or age.

“A core element to Tluxe is our focus on fluid, lightweight fabrics, which we use to create a capsule range of flexible, one-size fits most pieces,” says our creative director, Becs. “This season it’s about our new colour-blocked L'Hotel top, which works well for day or night with a slim pencil skirt. And our go-to for instant style is the Grand dress. Style it up with the latest flatform shoes or your favourite pair of heels, add a slimline belt and a few of our fab new accessories. I’m loving the long chain earrings in up-cycled silver.

“Anyone can follow fashion, “ says Becs, “but the essence of Tluxe is about providing the basics to let you express your own sense of individual style.”

      We love… fashion forward accessories

Be ahead of the fashion curve this party season and style up your favourite Tluxe dress with a few of those must-have accessories that will continue to be the star of your wardrobe well into next summer.

If the trend for all things sheer has passed you by, show your fashion smarts with a subtle yet chic nod to the trend by sporting a sheer scarf. Perfect for summer, wear it short, snug and sexy around the neck a la the ladies at Vivienne Westwood (pictured at top) or elegantly long and flowing.

The slim-line belt is another sure-fire winner for adding some 2012 now to a classic dress, as is the addition of a simple neck bangle - or torque in fashion-speak - which looked super sleek in polished metal on the spring catwalks at Lanvin and Tommy Hilfiger. And for the finishing touch, despite the return of the classic pump as the it-shoe of the party season (alongside the block-heeled sandal) we’re loving the single-sole wedge, a day-to-evening footwear option, which will have your relaxed take on glamour all sewn up.

      The insider... Tluxe summer inspiration

The deliciously cooling afternoon thunderstorms we’ve been experiencing here in Sydney of late has called to mind a few of the inspirational images we put together for the current Tluxe summer collection (pictured above), Basic Elements.

The deep, dark colours of the sea and sky when the heat of the day gives way to the rolling charcoal tones of an afternoon storm was our starting point for the season’s colour palette, shot through with accents of sunshine yellow - as you can see in our carefully engineered striped Suzanne C tee and Rebecca P maxi dress, and the moody sky print on our Isabel M and Vanessa B dresses. For more inspiration of the pictorial kind, we’d like to direct you to one of our favourite resources for beautiful imagery, ffffound.com. We also love thisisnthappiness.com, and arts and crafts, among many, many others. Go ahead, take some time out this week, even if just for a few minutes and, delight your senses.

      The stylists' edit

Here at Tluxe HQ we’ve had the nation’s top stylists combing through our new season collection, choosing their favourite pieces to shoot for the up-coming summer fashion pages of the country’s leading style mags. From Grazia and Shop til You Drop to our pals over at Russh, their favourite pieces right now include anything in a nude tone, our streamlined Coco C pant, the boldly striped Tori B maxi skirt, and our super slouchy Nicole F top.

      On trend... summer stripes

This season it’s all about stripes. Strong, graphic engineered stripes in bright summery colours are a great way to inject some on-trend zing into your spring wardrobe. The key to keeping the look up-to-date is to  mix the new season's bold brights with black and white, and keep your silhouette simple. We’ve made it easy for you with our new Rebecca P maxi dress in cheery sunshine yellow and super strong graphite. Wear it with a huge fluoro tote, or if like us, you can’t wait for summer, layer it up with a mis-matched striped T-shirt for a cool spring day.
