      Monochrome magic

There’s nothing more simple, chic and easy as black and white. It’s a classic combination that also happens to be perfectly on-trend this summer, especially if you update it with a few transparent accessories, like these fab Stella McCartney sunglasses, or for a night on the town, a pair of clear-soled heels. Trust us, the perspex sole is the way forward for footwear this season and well into next.

In keeping with the Tluxe philosophy of easy style we’ve also suggested a pair of fringed flats to go with your Hendaye shirt and Perfect leggings (these are straight off the 2013 catwalk care of Marios Schwab). To complete the look, don’t forget this summer’s essential, a wide-brimmed hat. Not only does it look cool, it’ll shade you from the sun and keep your skin fresh and youthful. What’s not to love?

      We love... Bondi surf culture

When we want to know what the sunrise looks like at Bondi any day of the week, or are on the lookout for some beach-side inspiration our first port of call is photographer and surf obsessive Eugene Tan's website, Aquabumps. For a sample of early morning beach life on one of Australia's busiest stretches of coastline, Ug (as he's known) offers up smart, and often entertaining commentary, and beautiful, beautiful photography. Pictured is a taste of what Bondi looked like this morning. Thanks Eugene for making our day that much better.

      The soundtrack to your week...

Balmy spring evenings, strolling home with the doors to people's homes open, the scent of barbeques in the air, and the sound of music escaping onto the tree-lined streets. Ahh, it's been a magic long weekend here in Sydney hasn't it? As we prepare for the week ahead we're watching the sun set, that incredible full moon rise, and listening to the sounds of The Cinematic Orchestra. Have a lovely evening friends, and a fantastic week ahead. Much love, Tluxe.
